Meet the Unicorns
Daryl Brady - Head Coach
Daryl joined the Unicorns after a long career in rugby and now acts as our Head Coach and occasional, reluctant player. He runs the majority of our training sessions and is always happy to help newcomers to the sport find their feet.
Richard Dunn - Chair Person
Richard has been a stalwart of the Unicorns on and off the pitch for some years now and holds the position of Chairperson. He can usually be found somewhere near the pitch or bar enjoying some 'fresh air'.
Alfie Scanlon - Club Secretary
Alfie joined the Unicorns a couple of year ago now and has become an integral part of the team both on and off the pitch. Despite having a reputation for terrifying our opposition, Alfie is a sweetheart who is always willing to help out a team mate.
Johan Myburgh - Club Treasurer
Johan is a Unicorn of many skills, as well as being the club's Treasurer and team's number 1 supporter at both home and away games, he also often acts as the Team's first aider and is usually on hand to help any injured Unicorns back to the bar.
Owen Evans - Team Manager
Owen Joined us in 2022 and made a big impact on the pitch helping our forwards dominate the IGR Southern league, now in his 2nd year he's responsible for the general management of the rest of the 'Blessing'.
Marc Caporiccio - Assistant Club Secretary
The fabulous Marc also joined the club in 2022 and fuelled entirely by tequila & lime soda's quickly became the Unicorns star winger in the 2022-23 season.
Alex Cooke - Assistant Team Manager
Alex will be supporting Own in the herding of cats that is managing the Unicorns team. Having also joined in 2022 his enthusiasm and pace have been welcome additions to the Unicorn back line and Alex has had an amazing first season.
John Hamp - Comms Officer
John Hamp, occasional captain, is another fixture of the Unicorns having put in years of dedication both on and off the pitch. Now responsible for the Unicorns Comms side of things, if you've seen something online about the Unicorns and liked it, this is probably the Unicorn responsible.
Marcos Cerqueira - Digital/Brand Officer
As well as being a long-time member of the Unicorns, running in try after try, year after year, Marcos is also responsible for the design of all of our fabulous kits and merchandise.
Andrew Jones - Social Secretary
As Social Secretary Andrew is responsible for all of the organised Unicorn fun, as well as the customary nights, afternoons, and mornings out to various bars, Andrew makes sure we also do some non pub related socialising, such as our Task Master Day, Murder Mystery, Tough Mudder, come dine with me and lots of other events.
Jarrod Anderson-Cross Recruitment and membership officer
Having also joined in 2022 and enjoyed a season playing in most of the positions in the back line Jarrod has tentatively Graduated to the forwards. When he's not injured or at the bar, Jarrod is now responsible for the Unicorns recruitment and membership plan so there's a good chance that when you first get in touch, this is who you might end up hearing from first.
